If you mean raw unprocessed chocolate (cacao beans), not too many as it is very very bitter

If you mean sweetened chocolate/candy, almost all animals will eat them (except cats I think who don't have "sweet" taste buds) whether it is good for them or not.

Humans like chocolate. So do dogs, but it is not good for dogs because they are very sensitive to theobromine and it can make them very ill.

My rats looove chocolate!! I have to hide it every night before I let them out :)

I suppose it would follow that mice like it aswell.

While chocolate is obviously not "good" for rats (as it is high in sugar etc), but it is not toxic to them.

It is very bad (read: possibly lethal) for some animals, especially dogs and cats. So make sure you research whether or not an animal can tolerate it before feeding it to him/her.

And of course, as mentioned, the human animal also likes chocolate as a general rule (exceptions like my flatmate are just plain wierd!)
