What animal looks like a big guinea pig?

I know there is an animal that looks like a large guinea pig, like 4 feet long or bigger, does anyone know what i am talking about. I think it lives in the grasslands? maybe?

The Answerer above is right, the capybara are the largest rodents alive and they're close relatives of guinea pigs.

However, guinea pigs also have other relatives that look like them and are larger (intermediate in size between them and capybaras).

Capybaras live in open areas, in or near the water; flooded lowlands are their typical habitat. Agoutis live in a variety of habitats including forests, savannas, and cultivated areas.
