  1. Cats!  But then, they do eat what they catch much of the time, or offer it to others to eat.  But a lot of them clearly find it fun.

A lot of animals "fight" in a non-lethal way for fun and to see who can win.

In fact, most hunters are pretty much the same way; they may enjoy the kill, but they use the meat and perhaps other parts of the animal.  They will kill animals they consider harmful to humans, farms, and livestock, such as coyotes and other varmints; especially if they are good to eat.

Some attacking "for sport" is done as practice for the real thing.

Now, the animals may not exactly know why they are practicing killing other animals; and in fact a lot of younger humans don't either; there is an instinctual aspect to the behavior.  But it does prepare them for the time when the hunting will be more productive.

  2. they say orcas do it. so with house cats. but that's only what they say.

  3. None.  Animals do not recreate or play or sport.  Some seemed to be playing, but that's usually the start of dominance, or establishing the pecking order.

Animals don't waste time and energy.  Their existence is based on survival.  The next meal might be their last.
