  1. Animal Breeders breeds and raise animals, such as cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, monkeys, rabbits, and rats: They select and breed animals, according to knowledge of animals, genealogy, traits, and offspring desired. They feed and water animals, and clean pens, cages, yards, and hutches. Often Animal Breeders examine animals to detect symptoms of illness or injury. They treat minor injuries and ailments and engage in recording weight, diet and other breeding data. They build and maintain hutches, pens, and fenced yards. Animal Breeders adjust controls to maintain specific temperature in buildings. They arrange for sale of animals to hospitals, research centers, pet shops. and food processing plants.
