He popped out to the shop and now he's dead.

This country is getting worse by the day.

How many more lives have to be taken before something is done about this gangland culture?

  1. The Country has fallen into the "America" state of affairs.

I'm afraid we've all been force fed by the Americans, being told that they are the greatest, now we are becoming America. Gun Crime, Knife Crime..

    Whats next a school shooting?

The country is in a state, and I'm getting out of it the second I have the money. Here I come nice country in Europe!

  2. I know.

Gun and knife crime in this country is getting ridiculous!

I cannot believe what this country has come to, and thats coming from a 15 year old.

The government need to crack down on harsher punishments.

Another life taken by gun and knife crime.

  3. I live around the corner from this shop, and unfortunately this is a fairly common occurrence in this area.

  4. Crime for deliberately using a weapon should be punished most severely, No excuses no parole full sentence served and if the kick over the traces in prison sentence increased by a visiting magistrate. Once a few of them realise that hey will be old men before they are out of the slammer it will make them think. Hard labour reintroduced.

  5. Yes another life snuffed out before it had really started.

But at the same time until they start giving out a proper sentence for the crime that has been commited, then these young wanna be gangsters are not going to worry about it,

All they see is that they get a few years locked up and then come out much harder & Wiser.

So glad i no longer live in London i would not want to bring my kids up there

  6. I live in America but read several news sites from all over the world, only because I do not trust American Media to tell any bit of the truth concerning world events.

I have found myself to be shocked at the daily news stories stemming from the UK about stabbings on youths, violence in pubs and overall murders that seem so senseless.  Of course, we have our fair share here in America and I am not passing judgment on a whole country, but I do agree that stories like the one you posted seem to be on the rise in the UK, and I've never even been there!

I have been just heartbroken over the newlyweds shot on their honeymoon.  I can't imagine what their families are enduring and there just seems to be no point in why this happened!  Why are 18 year old kids being stabbed over some silly fight their friends were in?  Why are 17 year old boys being arrested for shooting people in their sleep?  Why can't two people just go on a simple vacation and come back married and happy?  It makes no sense and this is happening everywhere.  It seems like pretty soon the whole population will be killed off before their time.

    Just very, very sad.

  7. A terrible waste of an innocent, young life and it could have happened to you or me - black, white, brown or yellow - if we lived in one of these ethnic inner-city areas.

It's the price that has to be paid for living in a multi-racial society but as soon as anyone raises this they are shouted down

  8. I agree someone took my trash cans yesterday.

  9. yet another pointless waste of a young life,

unfortunately it won't be the last.

  10. Knife crime was far worse in Georgian and Victorian London, and 500 years before that.Read more history.

  11. That is sad for that young man and his family.  Saying a prayer for his family.

  12. There's no point bleating. Nothing will happen until all the lawyers are happy & they will never agree to do anything that might infringe upon someone's human rights to commit mayhem.

  13. Very disheartening; we had a six year old shot in the head in a gang drive by, he was in his own home and was gunned down. I don't know what the answer is; so many young men feel gangs are romantic and powerful and gives them stature and a sense of family and belonging, so if you try to wean men from gangs there needs to be a substituteue for whatever they derive from ebing in gangsd and commititing crimes.

  14. Escalating gun violence in the UK...not something I would expect to see.  I remember when I was on vacation I happened to talk to a UK police officer about 5 years ago, and he was shocked at how many violent crimes go unchecked here in the US.  I guess globalization and changing times affect all.  I wish your country the best, and I hope that upstanding citizens like yourselves take steps to protect yourselves and get your politicians to take measures to protect you.

  15. Yesterday I had a discussion (argument) with a friend of mine, he is a committed Coptic Christian Egyptian.

I asked him 'what kind of God would allow young children to suffer?'

The answer ....... 'we all have free will', does this free will extend to letting these thugs rule our streets? I am of the opinion that a good hearted vigilante would not go amiss!

  16. take action quick until u end up like us in america... we live daily with constant fear of criminals
