  1. The picture doesn't show the antenna connection.  But my guess is that it has an SO-239P connector and it takes a PL-259 connector to mate with it.  It's also called a UHF connector.  If you want to see an SO-239P connector, check the link below and just scroll down a bit.

    The complete page must not have loaded the first time I followed your link.  Yep, it's a UHF or SO-239 connector.

  3. Wires is correct.  It has an SO-239P connector.  The Heathkit DX-40 was my very first transmitter when I got my Novice license back in the late 50's.  You can buy this connector at this website:

  4. the antenna connects on the SO239, same connector as used on most CBs. the connector on the far right is for the microphone and is an antique. most users of this transmitter used the telegraph key connector (1/4 inch phone plug) on the front of the rig for CW. If you intend to use the AM capability, it would be best to replace the mic connector with something more modern. tube sets like this also required either high impedence crystal mics or high output carbon mics, so adding a pre-amp would be needed if using a modern mic.
