  1. avg... its free and it works really well

  2. My Trend Micro virus was corrupt, now I'm looking for another one...I see that some of you are suggesting avast.  Does it add a toolbar?  which I don't want another one. Is Avast really that good?

  3. i've had nothing but good experiences with norton, i've never known any1 who uses 'avg' but the other 2 are reliable as well.... norton has never let me down tho

  4. i had norton and it didnt seem to provide any protection at all. I was suprised as Norton is a big name in computer protection. i now have avira and have had no problems since downloading it free from the website

  5. Avira has best detection, but it can get annoying at times.

Avast is simple to use, and has good detection rates.

Avg was easy to use, and has ok detection rates, but the recent updates make it less easy to use, but still a good product, just not as good as avast.

Norton is ok, but Norton is more bloated then the others, and can get very annoying.

    Avast is my personal favorite.

  6. Norton is a CPU hog. It slows your downloads way down.  I actually did away with Norton while there was six months left on on the subscription.

    best free: AVG

    best pay: McAfee

  7. There is an antiviruses free just for today

there is a code and you can activate it

    It worth trying it

You have to activate it right away because it won t let to activate it after the end of the day

    good luck

  8. i use norton 360 and before it with an old anitivirus it told me i was virus free and then i got norton 360 and it found over 22 thousand viruses on my pc and removed them all !!!! norton owns!

  9. I used AVG for while but the latest version (8) was a disappointment so I switched to Avast which is rock solid and free.

  10. Depends on whether or not you want to slow your system down.  Norton McAfee and AVG 8.0 are more resource intensive than Avast.  You can also try the one from PCTools (free).  I have never checked avira so cannot comment on it.  The others I have checked and am currently using PCTools on one system and AVG7.5 on another.

  11. AVAST

    and THREATFIRE

beside them there r many free anti virus softwares available over internet to download for free,u can get free anti virus software here from google
