well right i know there is no inbetween but where does it state that? thats what i need... to make a long story short, my soon to be ex wife wants to seperate now so she can do her thing and i can do mine. i tried to tell her it doesnt matter i can still get in trouble she doesnt listen so im going to prove her wrong. my lawyers have told me to wait on the seperation tho.. so im stalling her as long as i can.

  1. AR 635-200

    Active Duty Enlisted Administrative Separations

This covers every single type of legal chapter in the Army in detail.

    EDIT:

I'm thinking of separations...as in discharges....

    It's AR 608-99...

FAMILY SUPPORT, CHILD CUSTODY AND PATERNITY

There is not in-between.  Even if you are legally separated, you can still be charged with adultery if you have a girlfriend because the Army only sees married or divorced.

You will need to start reading Para 2-14b(6).  You'll also need to talk with JAG because you will have to pay her spousal support while you're separated...basically a good portion of your BAH.

  2. legal separation as in marriage? there is none..you are either married or not.  there is no in between.

  3. I'm not 100% sure but it might be in this series somewhere.

    AR 608 Personnal Affairs
