the downtown area around the harbor entrance of Curacao. This area was widely used in the slave trading era as a trading port for slaves and other stuff. The buildings are mostly still the same as they were back in those days, and there is even a museum (Kura Hulanda Museum) that portraits the events of this era very well.

The entire downtown district of Curacao is also on the World Heritage list if Unesco.

Other than this, you will also find many plantation houses all over the island that have been preserved with original furniture and art work from the time. They are all very well worth seeing.
