  1. Ecosystems  have interdependent relationships  between their components. A strategy to  conserve any ecosystem would be to protect all the various components as they depend on each other to survive.  Some of the components will have basic relationships to each other like predator and prey in a food chain. If people happen to compete for the same prey as the local predator, that has a negative effect on the  system and the predator may not be able to survive. Now there is an imbalance and the prey species might over populate and consume too much of it's food source and also not survive. So, one strategy would be to protect all the parts of a system so it can function normaly.
