Hmmmm ... the "Shark" gang from "Westside Story" was from the island of Puerto Rico, which is technically a U.S. territory, but I guess it's considered part of Latin America.  The traditions of Maria and Bernardo's family was very important to them.  The catholic faith was important, as was family.  Pride it ones heritage was important.  That's all I can think of.  Good luck!
