  1. Dual cone speakers (also known as 'whizzers' or parasitic tweeters) are a very feeble and inefficient way to try and get a full frequency of sound, from what is basically one single speaker driver.

They are often used in car speakers, where sound quality isn't really important.  No self respecting home hi-fi manufacturer has used parasitic tweeters for decades.  Using a separate tweeter(s) and woofer(s) is the only real way to get the full range of frequencies.

  2. Dual cone speakers are exactly that.  If you look closely at the actual speakers themselves, you'll see that the 'dual cone' refers to the fact that each speaker has two cones. One is attached by its edge to the speaker frame, and the 'inner' cone is 'free-edged' so that the speaker looks a little bit like a black daffodil flower.

  3. As Grey-Mar and more, It is like putting a tweeter and a mid range or a tweeter and a base reflex speaker in the same frame and hence increases the over all frequency response for the single speaker.
