What are 5 and 10 year olds into these days?

I'm not very good with children. Many of my friends don’t have kids so I don’t hang around kids that often. But my boyfriend has a 5 year old nephew and a 10 year old niece. What kinds of things would each of them be into at their age? What things could I talk about with them when we hang out together?

For the 5 year old-cars trucks that kind of stuff and maybe an easy puzzle

For the 10 year old- If my daughter got anything related to dora or princesses she would probably freak. 10 year old girls like lava lamp, cameras, painting. You need to know what she is like if artsy then drawing or painting if tomboy possibly basketball if girly then beuty products (nail polish, shampoo) And if in between like my daughter, nail painting, painting, and shooting some hoops.
