  1. *Notre-Dame de Paris is the Paris Catholic cathedral since the Middle Ages.

*Maurice de Sully, the Paris bishop at the time, started its construction in 1163. Its building went on for two centuries.

*Its pillars have a diameter of up to 5 meters  and its rose windows (below) 10 meters.

*The twin towers culminate 69 meters and 386 stairs above the ground

*The south tower houses the 13 tons Emmanuel bell.

  2. Hm.

-It's located on the Eastern Bank of the Ile de la Cite.

    -I believe it's 63 meters high.

-The building of it began in 1163.

-During WW1 the windows were removed because the French feared German bombers could destroy them.

-A builder named Clicquot installed a MASSIVE organ in the 1700s.

-There are 5 bells within the cathedral, of which the largest weighs in at approximately 26,000 pounds.

I think that's about all I know, apart from the obvious.  Hope it helps =)
