    Seasonal Foods, whether fruits or something like salmon.

    Water, either to much or to little depending on the season.

    Temperature,

    Getting Laid by someone who isn't a close relative.

  3. They were hunter gatherers.  They needed to allow the plants and animals they feed on time to recover.  That allowed them to concentrate on a smaller territory and maintain social ties but still utilize a larger territory.  

    There would be seasonal changes like a dry season that would force them to find water.

    They built no shelters so they need to find wood to burn.

    The area they were camped at would eventually become unsanitary.

    There were social groups that would come together from time to time.
