  1. Definitely go for it.

1 - Wrestling requires physical fitness and a strategic mind.

2 - Physical exercise enhances cognitive processes

3 - There will always be situations you can't talk your way out of and wrestling is a good way to prepare for that as it teaches you to be calm under pressure

4 - Despite what they say, the ladies go weak at the knees for athletes

    5 - Its free

6 - Running the 5 km to get there is a good way to warm up.

7 - Even when you aren't studying, you will be subconsciously reflecting on what you have studied but you have to find a balance

8 - This will improve your time-management skills which will always be an asset.

Something tells me you have already made your mind up but you need validation.

  2. Everyone should know how to defend themselves in an attack situation.

  4. mr honor student it is spelled

w-r-e-s-t-l-i-n-g. there are vast benefits of practicing and competing in any sport i wholly encourage you to do it.

  5. If you're a student then you would be better off learning spelling rather than wrestling.

  6. Well, I train in MMA and wrestling is my fave class. It's also the hardest one physically.

  7. Yes, you should take up wrestling. I don't know to what degree it will help you "protect the innocent" but wrestling is among the very best strength and conditioning workouts you can do. When you get better at techniques, it very much becomes a game of physical chess, and intellectuals are not as rare among wrestlers as you might believe. The fact that it is a one on one competition makes it attractive to many people with more individualistic, free-thinking attitudes. I was a philosophy honors student myself, but also captain of my high school team, and I still train at the sport regularly in my late 30's.

  8. d**n dude for a smart guy you sure are dumb. Look at the opportunity you have laying in front of you here! Wrestling is a great sport , which can be a great stress reliever  , gets you in great shape , teaches you to defend yourself in bad situations , and you will met plenty of new friends in the process....and its FREE!. Also remember Confucius says, "Wrestlers get all the b*thces. good luck!
