  1. There can be no reason to justify killing innocent creatures.Poachers are the enemies of nature and shame of human civilization and should be exemplarily punished no matter what they poach for!

  2. Throughout history...condors that have been shot, has been for fun.  The bodies and feathers were not used for anything..just left to rot.

  3. You probably couldn't find a taxidermist to mount one.  Personally, I think most people poach them because otherwise they are too chewy.

  4. Generally speaking, there isn't much poaching of Condors.  Most human-induced mortality comes from things like lead poisoning (from eating entrails of hunter kills) or because they also eat things like bottle caps (the young ones are especially attracted to shiny things, and just eat them).  So greater threats to Condors are pollution and litter than direct persecution.

  5. People just want to kill innocent animals.

  6. What for?  What for?  I'll tell you what for.  STUPIDITY, just plain stupidity.  Man has always done stupid things regarding nature and he probably always will.  Will he ever learn?  I doubt it.

These wonderful birds (2nd largest flying bird in the world, and very endangered) is thought by many "ignorant", uneducated, stupid farmers and ranchers, that they kill and feed on baby sheep and other livestock.  This is TOTALLY and COMPLETELY false and NOT true.  Condors are strictly "scavengers" and do NOT kill their prey.

These people MUST be educated and made to understand the way nature works and that we MUST learn to live "with it" not against it.  The Native Americans really "knew" how to live with the animals and we should learn from them.  Modern man does NOT know all the answers.
