Question:

What are Canada's pros and cons?

I'm thinking of moving to Canada.

I'm g*y and very liberal, and I only speak English.

I like cold weather, but I like the spring too.

Do you think there's a place where I could fit in there?

And where would it be?

Someone said Toronto, but I'm not sure if they speak English there.

Can anybody let me know?

  1. Your two choices for places where you can fit in: Toronto (as you mentioned) earlier and Vancouver. There shouldn't be a language barrier. Only Quebec is almost fully French.

  2. obv they speak ENGLISH God you must be soo closed minded.. there are aloooot of different pplz if thats what your getting at.. who live in TDOT

lots of people from all part of the world... thats what makes Canada interesting and whole.

we have the most beautiful landscapes, and sites... we have no crime compared to the United States.. and most people from the US like to come to good ol' Canada to retire.. hummm i wonder why

  3. toronto is the best place for you. nobody cares if you are g*y or straight, black or white, speaks english or not; we hate eachother the same. welcome home buddy.

  4. Pros:

*beautiful country, with a varied landscape -- mountains, oceans, prairies, big cities, small towns -- however you like to live, you can find it in Canada.

*Wonderful people who have been raised to care about one another, and to care abouot the world they live in (like anywhere, there are a few exceptions to the rule)

*Low crime, and less vicious crimes overall

*universal health care (not to be confused with free health care)

    *a high quality of life

*Canadians don't live in fear (generally). We don't buy a lifetime supply of duct tape and water because the government tells us that will save us from a nuclear attack (Although, we do love duct tape in general ;)

*Open minded society, more understanding of other cultures, ways of life and alternative lifestyles than most other countries

    Cons:

*We sometimes let people get away with stuff because it would be too impolite to say something to stop them.

*It's hard to define the Canadian identity because we have picked up pieces from lots of other cultures

*Some people don't like paying the taxes (I personally don't mind because it affords us a very high quality of life).

Speaking English is fine for most areas of Canada, including Toronto.  You can even be unilingual in parts of Quebec and be fine.

  8. You certainly need to do some research yourself. Why would you want to move to somewhere you know so little about?

Here's the application procedure for when you make up your mind.
