Has anyone ever been to a dashboard confessional concert? Are they any good and is there the usual good stuff like at all the other concerts? Is it good when Augustana tours with them?

  1. The Dashboard concerts are unforgetable and indescribable, but I'll decribe it anywhoo :)

It's a very small venue, so it's not hard to get a good view of the stage. When they play, it's about 10 times better then you would expect and the crowd joins in singing along. Chris also interacts with the crowd, telling random stories about his day and jokes. The atmosphere is relaxed and joyful.

Dashboard were touring alone when I went to see them in 06, and they should be coming back to Australia this year! *fingers crossed*

  2. It varies by venue, but they are AWESOME regardless...Chris feeds off the crowd and really conveys genuine joy in sharing his music with the fans. The rest of the band is great to watch as well! They are definitely my favorite band, and they are AMAZING live!

I have been to 5 of their concerts in the last 3 years. Three different concerts in my home town (Salt Lake City) and twice in Vegas at House of Blues. I have tickets to their upcoming MTV Rock Band tour as well.

I'd have to say that House of Blues was my favorite venue because it was small and intimate so you could get right up next to the stage if you got there early enough! At bigger venues, there are a lot more people and a few I've been to they had crowd surfing, but no moshing or anything. They usually play some of their new songs, and tons of their classics and fan favorites! (Just don't yell out requests for popular songs, Chris doesn't like that =P).

Anyway, they are well worth it to see, and even better if you can see them in a smaller venue!

  3. I went to one in '04 and they were awesome.

It was at a small venue and was very intimate and they actually interact with people in the crowd.

Also, everyone sang along to every song.
