If I know that I have a package coming tomorrow and it has an indirect signature status, and I know I won't be home tomorrow can I leave a note with my signature asking them to leave it at the door. Will they be able to do that?

  1. I've done this many times (for both Fedex and UPS).

Most of the time it has worked, and they leave the package, but sometimes they have not.

I don't know the official company policy, but it's worth trying.

I just leave a sticky note on the door, saying:

"Please accept this as my delivery signature for a package from company x*x to me, x*x, on 8/12/08."  signature

  2. Leave a note saying its ok to leave the package,  Make sure you sign it.. If the courier feels like it's a "secure location" they will leave it for you.
