What are Fiskar scissors?

It's on the list of supplies that my son needs for school this year, but I've never heard of such a thing. Is that a brand name, or just a certain type of scissors?

  1. It is a Brand Name of Scissors. They are typically used in schools because they have a rounded tip instead of a sharper tip.

  2. Its just a brand name of scissors that are especially made for a child's small hands and they have a rounded blunt tip that make safer to handle. They usually end up on sale for like a dollar or two when the school openings get closer. Targets i know hang up these class lists in their stores and even group the items together to make it easier to find things.

I do my little cousins back to school shopping every year so I'm used these lists. To tell you the Truth they don't use half the stuff on their so save your receipt and only give the child the things they will actually use or that the teacher asks for use in advance in a project.

  3. its a brand name found most anywhere that sells skizzers

  4. It is a brand name...Fiskars are a very good brand of scissors, fairly expensive as well...and they make more than just rounded scissors, you can find Fiskars brand scissors in craft stores and fabric centers.  Most places that sell fabric (wal*mart) carry them.

  5. It's a brand name. How old is he? if he's young, save your money. and buy age-appropriate(point or curved tip).  at my kids' school, the teachers are sending out supply lists, but the items are put in a "community' bin, for the whole class to share for the year, so don't be supprised if you never see them again. it's your call :)

  6. It is a brand name that can be found many places including walmart.  The school list probably says which type of fiskars to get, my sons says blunt but there are a few different types of fiskar scissors.  They aren't very expensive and seem to be easy for kids to use and last longer than most childrens scissors.

  7. It's a brand name of kid's scissors (on my daughter's supply list also, lol).  In my kids experience, they last longer (more durable) and the nicest of the blunt end scissors.

You can find them at Office Depot, Office Max, Walmart, Target, etc.

  8. They are excellent quality.

  9. a brand name but truthfull, he doesnt need scissors. or glue. or crayons. maybe crayons

i went through elementary and everything except the pencils and pens wound up in a little box in the corner of the room, because the teacher already had a box of everything

save your money dont get scissors you just dont need them
