  1. I am using the ASVAB for Dummys, I didn't like it at first, but my recruiter highly suggested this one over all the rest. I like the structure of the guide now, just took me a moment to get used to it.

Personally I ma focusing myself into the areas that I KNOW I struggle with, mine is math, so I have been craming on math and trying to refresh my memory on HOW to do things.

    You will pass! Don't worry.

  2. high school.

its math and English questions. its actually pretty easy.

  3. Go to Books a Million, Barnes and Noble, actually any book store and get the ASVAB study guide.  It's hard to miss, it has ASVAB all over it.

Considering the test is a government standardized test you really shouldn't have a hard time on it.

  4. It certainly helps, just don't cram and study weeks in advance.

Go to your local library, ask the librarian for the ASVAB Study Guide they should know. If not head to your Military section and look, they should be there. The Thomspon/Arco one is the one I like, plus it has practice tests.

Don't worry, it's easy, if you can't do well in one section do well in the others, In the end the ASVAB score doesn't matter, what matters are the line scores (number of correct you get per section).

    Why line scores?

Because say you want x*x Navy job and you need 30 (correct answers) from the Math section and 15 correct from the mechanical section and 10 from the word knowledge section= 55 and you have that then you are able to get x*x Navy job.

    Good luck!

  5. Go to military.com. It has ASVAB preps and practices.

  6. Seriously,

The best study guide would be common sense. I didn't even know what i was taking and just walked in there ready to test. I walked out with an 84 with 120's across the board. Don't worry about studying. There are easy questions and very basic diagrams to figure out. It was the most simple test I have ever taken.

  7. ASVAB for Dummies is my favorite study guide to use for applicants and poolees.
