What are Horse Grades??

Question

hey I was t my old riding school when i would hear people talk about horse grades - like grade C or B or something

One) What are the grades -- are they just tests of your skills on the horse and general knowledge towards horses?

Two)How do you apply to take one?

Three)Do you need your own horse or can you borrow the riding schools horse that your often ride?

I have started a new school and will be going every week (possily twice a week) and just wanted to know if I would have the chance to take the 'exam'

Also I am in the UK so it would help if people who are in UK or have lived in UK answer - because the rules may be different in US or other countries .... thanks

i think you'll have to be answered in the uk.  in the us i've never heard of horse grades.  except as a type of horse.  like a dog is a mutt, a horse would be a grade.
