What are Letters Patent?

Royals in the UK send out letters patent to give out titles (such as ones that say that male-line grandchildren of a soviergn get the titles His/Her Royal Highness, Prince/Princess) does anyone know where i can find copies of thises on the internet

  2. Only the Monarch can issue letters patent and it's normally to create a peerage. The best place to ask for them is the Royal family website at: http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/Page1793....

    They aren't all listed online as there are literally thousands.

  4. only the monarch can issue them and unless you are of royal blood your not going to get one (it is a royal pedigree if you will)
