  1. Mad Libs  is a word game where one player prompts another for a list of words to substitute for blanks in a story; these word substitutions have a humorous effect when the resulting story is then read aloud. The game is especially popular with American children and is frequently played as a party game or as a pastime. Many teenagers like to substitute clean words with profanity, racial slurs, and sexual innuendo.

Mad Libs was invented in 1953 by Leonard Stern and Roger Price, who published the first Mad Libs book themselves in 1958. Mad Libs books are still published by Price Stern Sloan, an imprint of Penguin Group, cofounded by Price and Stern.

  2. oh their fun!! So some one writes a weird story and then earases about 15 words, and puts under where they wer what kind of word it was. then they say 'noun" and (without) reading the story the other people say the first thing that pops into their heads. It will be HILLARIOUS at the end if only you know the story.

  3. Madlibs are like story books that you get to create.  They give you the story with a ton of blanks in it.  Underneath the blank you will see if it says noun, very, adjective, and so on.  The whole point of Madlibs is to create a funny story because you get to fill in the blank with any kind of word that fits.  Such as for noun you can put bathtub, table, or girl.  It's a fun thing to do when you're bored, or when you need cheering up.

  4. they assk you for nouns verbs adjectives etc. Then the verbs and stuff you filled out you plug into a sentenceand see wut it turns out to be.
