Question:

What are Obama's Views on Iraq.?

Us Brits are getting very confused as to who this "Obama" is and what his policies are in relation to the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We over here only see whats broadcast on channels such as the BBC who are famous for failing to give us the real picture on anything.

Perhaps some of our American friends can give me/us a true picture on what all the excitement is about. We already know he is the first "possible" black president which to us is not really that important and if he is likely to be voted in because of the colour of his skin surely that could be a bad thing because the colour of his skin is not anything to do with his policies and beliefs.I for one do not care who the next President of the most powerful country in the world is as long as they have respect for everyone.

This is a question on a lot of peoples lips and,is not asked with the intention of delving into personalities or ,if you like or dislike someone. We want to know his polices even if you do not agree with them and give us an insight of what he is about.

  1. If he becomes President - His Views will be given to him by the people behind the scenes who actually run the United Sates of America...

    UK Prime Minister = Puppet

President of the United States = Puppet

    And so on...

  2. i'm sure this isn't his entire policy, but a short and sweet version!

Supports capping troop levels, and wants full US withdrawal by March 2008.  While not a Senator at the time, he has opposed the war from the start.

this is getting to be a very confusing election season.  there doesn't seem to be any impartial reporting anymore...it's all biased, and people say and hear what they want.  and yes, a lot aare going to vote for obama because he is black...but i know a lot that are NOT voting for him for the same reason!  i just know that i can't handle another republican president!

  3. I think it's one of those things where we'll never get the complete truth.

I remember reading before that he supported going into Iraq, then later when it went bad he denied ever supporting it. Later I just read that he's against doing anything in Iraq but without mentioning anything about pulling out or staying in.

  4. Don't worry if you're confused, America hasn't found out what Obama's views are yet either.  We just get the same old "McCain is Bush" and "It's time for change! " speeches to compensate for reality.

  5. Does he know where it is?
