What do they plan to do to improve education in the USA? Do they have any ideas on creating an education system that can compete with the rest of the world?

  1. I know that Obama wants us to "believe" in public education while he quietly sends his daughters to private school.

  2. Let me put it to you this way. Mccain wants to send young people into war. Aka, DRAFT.He clearly doesn't care about young people getting educated. All he cares about is a war.

Obama will send millions to schools and pay good teachers better.

  3. Obama wants to reform No Child Left Behind. Actually- he wants to first properly fund it (novel idea) McCain wants to keep the poorly funded NCLB  and pay teachers based on merit (so they attack failing school and punish them instead of helping them) He is for vouchers as well.

  4. Obama wants to abort the No Child left Left Behind Act, and McCain wants schools to take more accountability.

  5. Obama has my vote, I have studied in other more highly educated countries growing up we lived, in Spain, Italy, Switzerland. First I would make the teachers change class the students would stay in the same room all day. I would also place uniforms in all schools that would also take care of the dress code issue, I would make world history and Geography mandatory.

  6. OBAMA

Throughout America's history, education has been the vehicle for social and economic mobility, giving hope and opportunity to millions of young people. Our schools must prepare students not only to meet the demands of the global economy, but also help students take their place as committed and engaged citizens. It must ensure that all students have a quality education regardless of race, class, or background. Barack Obama is committed to strengthening our public schools to maximize our country's greatest natural resource - the American people. Obama believes that we must equip poor and struggling districts, both rural and urban, with the support and resources they need to provide disadvantaged students with an opportunity to reach their full potential. Too often, our leaders present this issue as an either - or debate, divided between giving our schools more funding, or demanding more accountability. Obama believes that we have to do both, and has offered innovative ideas to break through the political stalemate in Washington.

    MCCAIN

Excellence, choice, and competition in American education. John McCain believes American education must be worthy of the promise we make to our children and ourselves. He understands that we are a nation committed to equal opportunity, and there is no equal opportunity without equal access to excellent education.

  7. Neither one advocates the privatization of education, so neither will improve it.

  8. They support me.

  9. Obama wants "Free" education for all which basically means everyone in the country has to pay so that you can go to college... cough cough communist

Edit: and by the way isn't the whole DRAFT argument they used to make about Bush? and I'm still waiting for my draft orders i don't know about you... Maybe they just got lost in the mail... il have to check on that
