It is called pcos for short. There is a wealth of information on the web if you google it.

It is basically when your follicles do not ovulate and release and egg like normal. Instead they turn into cysts. Most women with PCOS do not have regular periods so that is usually the first symptom along with weight gain around the midsection, excess hair, etc..

It can cause infertility and problems getting pregnant but it can be treated.
