It has been doing this for the past 3 days off and on!!

I thought it might be a virus so I scanned it with one of these so called free register cleaners and it seemed to stop...now it has started again!

  1. Look for a fan or something close to the screen. Anything emitting electro-magnetic radiation.

  2. Something giving off electromagnetic disturbations near the monitor, or near the cable, the cable itself. Or rather some issues with the video card drivers, in that case cleaning them up and reinstalling should do the trick for good.

    3. Your computers is running low virtual of memory.

  4. 1.  Fan or speakers too close to monitor?

    2.  You might try degaussing it.  "Degausse" should be a selection form the monitor settings button on the monitor itself.

  5. It could be a problem with the sync on the monitor or with the video card on the computer. Check to see if you have the latest driver for the card, or if you have changed any of the display settings like resolution or frequency
