What are Study Halls?

I really don't know what they are..in middle school we didn't have them..and now that I am in high school they do..what exactly are they?

Their a normal period/class like the rest.

the only difference is that you go in and the the teachers dont teach you anything.

you can call it "free time" cause you just go in and do homework you didnt do the night before, or study for a test you have.

i can sometimes sleep in my study period.

but it depends on who the teacher is.

anyways is just a class where you can go in talk with people, do homework and stuff.

&& the techer just sits there & does his own stuff.

i have study hall at the end of the day so im lucky cause i get to do all the homework there and i dont have homework when i get home(=

they are like normal classrooms where you do your classwork and homework or you just do normal studying there...
