2. Steelers one of the first SB era dynastys. One of the NFL's most storied franchises and originator of the rooney rule which makes room for african american coaches.

3. Packers (Lombardi, Bart Star and Favre) Packers are one of America's working class teams. Sort of the good guy version of the Steelers.

4. Dallas Cowboys. Specifically those coached by Tom Landry who almost invented the modern Offense and Defense

5. 49ers, They were the pinicale of greatness in the modern era.

6. Cleveland Browns in the 50's and 60's this team destroyed the AFL (literally since they rarely lost) and dominated when it joined the NFL. The team also was highly competitve in the 80's it was Belicheck's first job as a head coach and while the franchise moved it could be argued it won a Super Bowl (Ravens players and draft picks were essential those of the Browns) and it paved teh way for cities to "own" their franchises by successfully suing to retaint eh name, history and colors assuring over indulgent zillionaires don't own everything.

7. Chicago Bears the Monsters of the Midway and Super Bowl Shuffle Teams will forever be remebered for dominating D.

8. Giants, Super Bowls and Championships throughout multiple eras. A franchise that almost always is competetive.

9. Miami Dolphins, 72 Dolphins perfect season and Marino This team is the standard by which team in the south east part of the US are compared.

10. New England Patriots. Once the Lauching stock they could easily climb higher then this spot I've given them if not for the way I remember them in the 80's.

I agree with awesome Bill except I really believe the Dallas Cowboys have to be there, In the 60's the Packers had to get Pass the Boys to become Title Town. In the 70's the steel curtains claim to fame was wins over the Cowboys in the Superbowl to become the Team of the 70's. In the 80's  the 49ers win over the Cowboys marked a historical run of winning seasons and in the 90's the cowboys dominated. A team that has won and been 1 of the top 2 teams in 4 different decades has got to get props.
