What are Thomas Hobbes' philosophy's? and views on man government and man?

  1. Hobbes, was he the author of the book Laviathan, unsure of his views on government but Pirates of the caribean 3 states that's not fighting that's politics.


  2. Hobbes says that men are only interested in themselves and do everything out of self interest.

    He says that we form government and live with others as a way to protect ourselves.

    Basically we live under laws we don't necessarily like only because we think the outcome would be worse for us if the laws didn't exist at all.

    That is obviously just the tip of the iceberg but it's one of his general ideas.
