Question:

What are Vampires? Really...?

There is no logic to vampires.

Some beleive in them, some don't.

Some claim to see them, Some claim to be them.

There is no proof... but where did all the myths come from? Who would be bored enough to think up undead humans who drink blood? I can think of no one but a vampire himself who would think of such a thing. Even if a human made it up, no one would beleive them! If vampires exsisted they would be so careful not to be discovered. No human would find out. No humans would know.

The only logical explaination is...

A vampire himself told us / showed us

Vampires are real

Most myths are not true

It is often over-exagerated

But then there is the question.... which myths ARE true?

What are vampires?

And how were they created?

Anyone care to share their thoughts on this topic?

  1. Does that mean Bram Stoker was a vampire?

  2. That was quite a string of logic. I don't know how true it is, but it was still quite brilliant deduction.

Vampires are, in essence, an exaggeration. We are people who need a bit more energy, from blood or energy. That's honestly about it. We're not the beasts of myth, or the terrors of the night. We're just different people.

To answer the other questions, there are very long answers. Feel free to email me if you'd like in-depth explanations. Otherwise, best of luck on your search.

  3. They are average sized Bats Down in South America. They go out at night and suck blood from mostly cattle. They don't attack people. That is the only vampire there is. All others are of TV and Movies. and sometimes Books.

  4. well, i see your point and i think that if this is really a question that you would like to study up on, i suggest reading Dracula and/or Anne Rice's vampire chronicles, but anyways, here is my answer:

humans are naturally drawn to death because it is the single most superhuman event a person will ever go through. That is where vampires, etc. come in.

The notion vampires and ghosts bring about, is that, we can somehow live AFTER death. that is where the primal affinity to vampires comes in. There is also the romantic sense.

In almost every vampire book, there is a very romantic trend throughout the story because being a vampire means to live forever. and who could live ALONE forever? i dont think anyone could. and if a vampire were to choose a human mate, they would just keep dying, leaving the vampire heartbroken after their mate's death. So, the vampire would obviously need to find someone to convert. Someone to spend all of eternity with him/her.

Do you see how it is quite romantic.

so the whole vampire idea plays on two cores of human existence.

    death and love.

also, there is also the whole human decomposition that would give off the impression of someone feasting on blood.

when a person decomposes, at a certain point, the skin shrivels up and hugs the skeleton, causing the corpse to look like it has grown out its nails and hair. then the stomach area bloats to appear like the corpse has eaten a full meal. then some bodily fluids would leak out of the mouth and run down the sides of the face.

and, yes, you guessed it, this bodily fluid that runs out of the mouth is most commonly red. causing it to seem that blood is flowing out of the corpse's mouth.

this is one possible scientific explanation.

and you are right, most myths are not true. but you must note that there are 2 types of vampires. one sucks blood and another drains energy.

While neither has hard evidence, the energy vampire is the most believable because i heard of one story where a woman had been very very very ill her entire life and felt the need to suck people's energy life force. some scientists did some studies, one her and she was able to make some energy readers jump and after feeding, there was an uncommon amount of heat in her hands )which she had used to "suck" energy.

none of these were conclusive, but they are quite interesting.

well, i hope i was able to help! sorry its so long, but i just wanted to answer as many questions as possible!

  5. I don't think there are any actual vampires in the sense of undead creatures who feed on blood. The myth is based partially on the cruel Vlad the Impaler , but mostly on Bram Stoker's Dracula.
