  1. while i was in tenn- i saw rivers and streams that looked grate until i was close enough to see clearly . there were a lot of tires and other junk in the water. so i suggest you form a group and clean some of these types of places. it will help fish birds and other wild life .also it will make you feel grate for having done a good thing .

  2. recycle

    save water

dont use a lot of electricity that u dont need

    :)

  3. stop using gas for heat & hot water go back to logs your only speeding up the decay process NOT USEING LIVE TREES

  4. Reduce, reuse, recycle.

  5. it is hard to defy how to make a major impact on the world, but you'll be surprised that by getting a large group of people to do small thinks can really make a difference. For example, you could start a fundraiser/raffle at your school  or work selling items that are: made with environmentally friendly products or that advertise for global warming. you could donate the money to companies that are trying to help global warming, or maybe scientists who are doing research on it, any sort of fund. You could also encourage everyone to walk places instead of driving. like my school had a walk to school day where everyone is encouraged to walk to school on that day and a wrist band that says something about being good to the environment were given to everyone who walked. you could even combine those ideas: walk to school/work and enter a raffle to win "green" stuff. Also, when grocery shopping, buy food that has reduced packaging, packaging that could be recycled and bring your own reusable shopping bags from home. next, encourage your family, work, school and even neighbor-hood to recycle paper, can's, glass and anything else that they can or to reuse items that can be reused again.

  6. -Buy things in packages made from recyled materials

    -REDUCE

    -REUSE!!!

-RECYCLE  (do it in that order, please)

-Buy "green" cleaning products such as Method, Seventh Generation, and Clorox GreenWorks

-Try to buy all green products

-Buy organic or local food, or both!

-Use a reusable shopping bag, you can find these at any local grocery store.

    -Plant some trees

-Use the search engine Goodsearch instead of Google. Go to goodsearch.com and try it out.

-Grow your own garden, thats the most local you can get.

-Try to drive less, you'll save money too.

-Save your plastic bottle caps and send them to Aveda, check out the Aveda website for more information

-Learn more, buy books, read online, and educate yourself. Good magaziens to subscribe to are Orion, MotherEarth News, and Plenty. I get all three of these and love them.

-Use a digital camera, because then you aren't always printing  out all your pictures like a film camera.

-Unplug things when they aren't in use. One thing I always unplug is my toaster.

-Use public transportation more, this goes with the whole driving less thing.

-Clean up the road you live. This helps animals, and also you might things you could recycle like a paper cup that might have otherwise gone in the landfills.

-Compost, especiallly if you have your own garden. This makes great soil from your strawberry leaves, watermelons rines, or banana peels and many other things.

    -Also compost your garden waste.

-Try to buy things with minimal packaging, so those individual things like instead of little individual chocolates get big chocolate bars. Simple things like that,

-And also, tell your friends to go "green"! Get everyone to do it!

-And also, always think, "Do I really need this?" "Is there a way I can get this product in a more environmentally friendly way?" And etc.

    Good luck!!!
