What are a few fun things to do with my grandchildren?

I watch my 3 year old grandaughter every day and my 5 year old grandson a few times a week. what are some things i can do with them togehter and separate?

hi a nice easy 1 is take them to the park and have a picnic all children love this and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg and fresh air is great 4 them.have fun x

I used to love to color. Coloring books would be good for them together, and for your grandaughter Barbies, or other dolls.  And for your grandson, probably blocks or legos, and Im sure your grandaughter would love that as well.  They both will most likely like music also.

I'm not too sure what girls like to do (I have four boys), but I do have a 5 year old and a 3 year old.

Together they love playing games like Candyland, Hi-Ho-Cherry-o (they are inexpensive games too).

I think blocks are a winner for boys and girls at these ages, too.

And, if you have the strength, piggy back rides are the best!!

I had to answer this because we basically have the same avatar yet im 21, and youre a grandmother ahah. anyway, 3-5 bracket is my favorite, theyre so sweet and still like to give hugs and do make believe. boys are girls are usually similar in the things they like to do. simple projects that go with the holidays always workwell. such as a ginger bread house for christmas time, etc. they also LOOVEEE dress up! they allseem to also love thomas the tank engine. there are some cheap train sets you can get where you can all build something. a sprinkler was one of my favorites at that age.  alos, you can get a cheap kiddie pool and they love to just splash around. my mom used to let me finger paint outside and then "wash off" in my pool! i loved to get messy, and it was easy if we were outside. save some paper bags from the grocery store and let them glue some googly eyes and feathers and decorate them and then they can wear them on their head as monsters! theyre so fun and silly atthat age, have fun!!!

oh yes, and as someone else said, they love to help bake! i watched boys and girls who LOVE to help! i tell them to grab the ingredients and let them pour them in and theyre so excited to show it off to mom and dad. even boys i watched two 7 and 10 that would beg me to bake everytime!

Girls love dressing up, it doesn't matter with what, old scarves, jewellery, or even the proper costumes you can buy quite cheaply. When they are together I would take them out to the nearest park. It is good exercise for you all, they will sleep better at night and it would give you all a change of scenery

Well you can start by not hititng them on the butt, mean grandma....and second, start getting creative and get off of yahoo answers....sounds good to me

well some of my fondest memories with my grandma were simply cooking alone with her in particular baking & she'd use like the scrap pie crust pieces & cinnamon sugar & butter & it was like i made my own special treat.  for the boy i know my bro's fav thing to do with her was play dominoes & playing all kinds of sports in their big yard plus going to the pool was a real fun time for both of us!
