  1. Canada has a significant global presence in a number of international organizations, and also has national organizations that provide financial and other types of support to international organizations.

Canada is a member of the United Nations and all of its associated organizations, a few of which I've listed below. Canada participates in Asian organizations, including the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) . Canada is a member of  NATO (the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation), the Organization of the American States (OAS), and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Canada is a participant in G8 summits, the Commonwealth, and the European Union.

Canada provides major financial support to international development via CIDA, the Canadian International Development Agency.

I hope this helps! See a list of UN agencies that Canada plays a major role in below. Best of luck to you!

    United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)

    Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO)

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

    World Bank

    World Health Organization (WHO)
