What are aces??(in volleyball)?

someone told me i had 5 aces in a game...what r aces and is 5 good for one game?

Technically aces are unreturned serves, but most players add the criteria that the served ball hits the ground in-bounds with no other player touching it.

they are when you serve and the other team does not bump it it touchs the ground. yes it is good when you get five aces.

for example: there are two teams the blue team and the green team. The blue team serves and it goes over the net to the green teams side and inside the court lines. The green team does not touch it. Therefore the blue team gets an ace. I hope that helps!!:)

Aces are when you serve the ball and no one on the other team touches the ball and it hits the floor in bounds.  Then that is an ace for your team.  And yeah 5 aces are pretty good in one game.

5 aces are great! That means that when you served the ball the other team either let the ball hit the ground or one person hit it and then it touched the floor!

An ace is when you serve the ball and the opposing team doesn't return the ball, either by not touching it or if the passer shanked it.  A shank is a crappy pass that the team can't use.  5 aces are great, because you got your team 5 points!

an ace is when u serve it and the opponent either doesn't hit it at all and it hits the ground or they hit it once and then it hits the ground. Five is pretty good for one game
