Question:

What are all my possible modes of transportation?

I am traveling from Chicago to Fargo, ND but I don't have a car or much money I can afford to spend. I most likely don't have enough for a plane, unless I can find a $500 ticket. I was thinking Amtrak, but the travel times available are too inconvenient. I tried my luck with Greyhound, but those are inconvenient, too. I can't arrive in the AM hours and that's all they offer. Is there anything else I can turn to?

  1. I looked, and there isn't much in the midwest in terms of transportation (bah)

There's only one bus line I found that runs in the area you're looking, other than Greyhound:

You can also try to look up cheap tickets with these airlines:

You could also try looking here to see if anyone is traveling and will take you along for a couple bucks:

Other than that, you may have to take the inconvenient hours with Amtrak or Greyhound.  From personal experience, overnights are alright, because you can sleep on the bus or train.

    Good luck!
