  2. I'll go with Red Green Blue all the colors are combination of these three.

These are the basic color the other colors are just what we see as color.

So if you put pink in the rainbow just as good because you feel like you see it.

  3. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet are the traditional colours but we can see more.

Interestingly rarely you may see a complete rainbow i.e. a circle

    Blue

    Indigo

    Violet

  5. Roy G. Biv --- Red, Orange, Yellow, Green Blue, Indigo, Violet.

  6. red, yellow, pink, green, purple, orange and blue

  9. The answers above while they may be correct give no information  on different anomalous rainbows, or even the curious phenomena of moonbows, lunar bows, etc,  ( see wikipedia ),the apparent colouring of these, is in accordance with the various weather conditions and dust in the air, and even the time of day that these occur, ( certain types can only be seen at dusk or dawn, and at altitudes not normally observed, by people, they may be influenced by the colour of the sunrise, sunset, making the colours of some dissapear, while other colours become enhanced, i.e. a dusk rainbow, from altitude, may have a strong reddish tint, but green may darken,) there  is a common agreement, that these are correct, but they are not the only forms that appear in our skies, the Rainbow is actually circular in shape, and appears as an arc only to those on the ground, usually in the opposite direction to its light source, from the air, it can clearly be seen as a circle, there is no "Rainbows end", and alas no pot of gold here either, the apparent colour of a rainbow is not the same as its actual colours, the appearance is affected by atmospheric particles as well as the refraction/ internal reflection, of light, causing a prism effect, splitting  white light, into its constituent parts, of  coloured lights ....

  10. The traditional description of the rainbow is that it is made up of seven colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo ad violet.

Actually, the rainbow is a whole continuum of colors from red to violet and even beyond the colors that the eye can see.

  11. ROY G. BIV- Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet!!!!

  12. All the colors of the rainbow are: (in order)

    Red

    Orange
