What are all the different styles/types of jeans??

Well it is the cut/style of the jean. Boot-cut are straight legged, flare have a bell shape at the bottom. Skinny jeans are super tight throughout the entire leg.

You should just go to the mall and check out stores like the Gap or Charlotte Russe etc. Most have pics of the jeans and the names of each style so you can see first-hand what they look like.
