What are all the disadvantages of mass media on the people?

I have to write a debate against Mass media. I have a few points but i still need some bullet points to further make my debate better. Please help me.

Mass media invariably carry common headlines even though they have correspondents at different cities. They speak the language that is acceptable by the ruling sections. They escape from all sensitive issues while reporting. No media can function unbiased, risking their existence. Freedom of press is a misnomer.

Media is indirectly controlled by money power and muscle power. Media can not have their own defense system to protect it's reporters who can face threats and blackmail.
