  1. I'm pretty sure this is the same question you asked a minute ago.  It is really important to ask a concise clear question so that you can get the answer you are looking for.  Here is my answer again:

    If your question is looking for the sources of energy that are currently in widespread use to power machinery, the major source of this energy is the sun. Directly or indirectly, the sun is responsible for solar and wind energy, as well as for the formation of oil and coal deposits. Oil and coal are "fossil fuels" and were formed from plants, which of course got their energy from the sun. From oil, gasoline and other products are refined and electricity is generated from a variety of sources, almost all of which started as solar energy.

    The only source of power in wide use that is not from the sun is nuclear energy.
