What are all the materials that work as sound deadener?

I know dynamat is probably the best quality sound deadener out there but I know there are other brands and other types of material not even meant for sound deadening that work. someone help me out

I am using fatmat. It is not as thick, but it still works great. Go to www.fatmat.com and see what you want. They have a bunch of variations of kits you can get. It is half the price of dynamat.

Try sheets of cork.

Rubber is another - but they come in many varieties. You should try one that is not hard. I am assuming you are talking about walls, not floors.
