I'm 13 now, two years ago, i hated running, my best mile took 12 whole minutes, i hated every second of it, but now I love running, every since this season of track this year, I have been trying really hard to improve on it.I go running about a couple miles every day and sometimes I go to the track to improve my speed. I have improved lots, now my best mile ever was 5 mins and forty something seconds, but thats not my solid time, I've timed my 400m time 2 times, and i got 71 seconds. I do this all by myself and so i need to know how i can get my self to run my best in all circumstances, even when I'm not competing. Thanks =)

  3. Ab workouts will help a lot. They align your pelvis, preventing injury and making you a stronger runner. Hill sprints and long runs will help too. You should also learn about tempo runs. Here's a good site. http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,71...

It has a lot of other cool stuff too so check it out. Good Luck!

  4. dude just keep practicing. do leg exercises or lift weights with your legs to strengthen them.  i had to practice running too when i was younger because i played soccer. just do what you're doing. stay in shape by doing other exercises too. crunches, sit ups, push ups, most importantly work on your leg muscles. the stronger your legs are the harder you'll be able to run and the faster you'll get your perfect mile done in perfect time. dont over do it though. good luck man

  5. you gotta train train train, keep running the human body will adapt and get better
