I'll be travelling alone.

  1. I went to Paris few years ago and went to many different places and I have to say those three places I went were the most enjoyable and really intersesting to learn about!

Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Musee de Louvre, there is a lot more places you should explore but those three I enjoyed the most and Hope you will too! Have Fun!

  2. the champs elysee is lovely, and the dinner boat ride down the seine ,past notre dame, etc.,is unforgettable.have fun!

  3. I'm going the first week of April too! I've been doing a lot of research. A great book I have is Frommer's Paris Day by Day. Get it if you can. It tells you what to do on each day. I'll be hitting museums and the Disneyland Paris resort. I'm hoping to visit the Sacre Coeur and Monmarte. And the major cemetary, I can't think of the name off hand. And really just go to any and all websites that focus on Paris tourism. Have fun!

  4. Don't miss Montmartre. Also try to get out to the Château de Versailles. They offer private tours for a price. I would probably recommend hiring a car for this trip. Your driver will take you directly there and maybe show you some of the sites surrounding.

You will have a wonderful time. Since you are traveling alone I would call ahead to your hotel and ask your concierge about group tours. Some include lunch at a fun cafe.

    have fun!

  5. Try the museums, go to the Eiffel Tower, eat at the local bistros, shop on the Champs Elysees......There is so much to do.

  6. I'm going to Paris this year as well. I have been looking at doing all the touristy things -- Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Musee de Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Sacre Couer, Moulin Rouge, Champs Elysees, and walking through areas like the Latin Quarter and Marais. I know they are all really cliche, touristy things, but if this is your first time in Paris, you will probably want to see these things. Then if you visit again you will be more familiar with the place and can see more 'real' aspects of Paris and travel into the outer arrondissements.

(And FYI the cool cemetery is the Cimiterie du pere Lachaise where Jim Morrisson and Oscar Wilde are burried. graves freak me out though so I'm debating whether or not that will be on my itinerary)

  7. You could Go to the eiffel tower

Restaurants there are some great restaurants in paris

you could go and ask your local travel agent and they give you a booklet on the things you could do there and the prices

  8. Rollerblading if you're good enough is a great idea. April is pretty dry in France and sometimes quite warm.

There's someting cool to see in paris if you want to escape from the obvious touristic itinerary.

Go to the catacombs (metro denfert rochereau) It's really interesting and a wee bit creepy as well!

  9. do you rollerblade? There is a great thing you can do on Friday nites. In-line skaters from all over the world gather for the weekly Friday Night Fever roller tour. Go to YAHOO Current Traveler to watch a video "Roller Night in Paris"

You can also look for other cool things to do in the videos in Paris is rollerblading is not your thing, but if I were you, I'd learn how to blade just to meet the guys:)
