Philippines, it's used to be an American colony. USA got a strong political influence in this nation. Americans is a god in the Philippines. They idolizes anything American like food, movies malls, guns. hip hop.....etc.

It is difficult and rather expensive to emigrate to another country . . .  if you do it legally.  It can take a couple years, too.  First, you have to have a passport, natch.  Then you need a VISA.  A visitor's VISA is easy to get, and many times you can even get it in the airport when you arrive.  However, if you're going to want to work in your new country, you will need a different kind of VISA, which much usually be purchased in advance.  You will probably need a work permit and a residency permit.  Usually, to get these things, you must have an employer who will sponsor you.

I lived in Turkey for a year, teaching English as a foreign language.  I worked with the school that was hiring me to get all of the requisite documentation.  Because I had a sponsor, I was able to get all my paperwork through US and Turkish bureaucracies in about 6 months.

Every country has different requirements, so you would have to do some research.  Of course, there's always the option of just showing up with a passport and a vacation VISA, and just not going home again.  You'd be an illegal alien, though, and subject to deportation (or jail) if caught.
