  1. Like the first poster mentioned, go to TheKnot.com and sign up, it's free and they have TONS of resources. They have a budgeter, an checklist, and you can save articles and images of things you like.

Also, go to Barnes & Noble and get a wedding planning book.  I got a really great one called The Bride's Essential Wedding Planner.  It was about $13 with my B&N membership.  It's so extensive, and there are sections that I probably won't use.  But they have sections for the ceremony, reception, fashion, flowers, music, photographers, honeymoon, invitations, etc, and it includes checklists and advice for all the different areas.  It also has pockets on the section dividers so you can keep all your own notes and contracts and receipts organized, plus a business card holder for all your vendors' business cards.

  2. guest list- invite those who you both really want there on your big day.  Close family, great friends, and co-workers you wouldn't want to miss it!

venue- for ceremony and reception.  where are you having it?  Is it the right size for everyone?  What do they offer and what do you need?

    music- cds, dj or band?

favors- are you giving the guest something for a thank you?

hair and makeup for you and the bride maids

    jewelry for you

    shoes

    rings

    honeymoon

    alcohol

    guest book
