  1. Hush little baby lyrics

Hush, little baby, don't say a word.

Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird

And if that mockingbird won't sing,

Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring

And if that diamond ring turns brass,

Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass

And if that looking glass gets broke,

Mama's gonna buy you a billy goat

And if that billy goat won't pull,

Mama's gonna buy you a cart and bull

And if that cart and bull turn over,

Mama's going to buy you a dog named Rover.

And if that dog named Rover won't bark,

Mama's going to buy you a horse and cart.

And if that horse and cart fall down,

You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town.

  2. I've heard many different versions of that song.  Here is the most popular, I think:

Hush, little baby, don't say a word,

Mama's going to buy you a mockingbird.

And if that mockingbird don't sing,

Mama's going to buy you a diamond ring.

And if that diamond ring turns brass,

Mama's going to buy you a looking glass.

And if that looking glass gets broke,

Mama's going to buy you a billy goat.

And if that billy goat won't pull,

Mama's going to buy you a cart and bull.

And if that cart and bull turn over,

Mama's going to buy you a dog named Rover.

And if that dog named Rover won't bark,

Mama's going to buy you a horse and cart.

And if that horse and cart fall down,

You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town.

  4. Since you've already got your answer, I won't be repetitive, but I just wanted to say that when I first had my son, I HAD to look up those words, because I was so tired of singing the same two lines. :D

  5. Hush, little baby, don't say a word,

Mama's going to buy you a mockingbird.

    If that mockingbird won't sing,

Mama's going to buy you a diamond ring.

If that diamond ring turns brass,

Mama's going to buy you a looking glass.

If that looking glass gets broke,

Mama's going to buy you a billy goat.

If that billy goat won't pull,

Mama's going to buy you a cart and bull.

If that cart and bull turn over,

Mama's going to buy you a dog named Rover.

If that dog named Rover won't bark,

Mama's going to buy you a horse and cart.

If that horse and cart fall down,

You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town.

So hush little baby, don't you cry,

Daddy loves you and so do I.

  6. The song is Hush Little Baby and the traditional version features "Papa" instead of "Mama". Anyway, I found the lyrics to the alternate "Mama" version at this site: http://www.grandparentsmagazine.net/Song...

Hush, little baby. Don't say a word. Mama's going to buy you a mocking bird.

And if that mocking bird won't sing, Mama's going to buy you a diamond ring.

If that diamond ring turns brass, Mama's going to buy you a looking glass.

If that looking glass gets broke, Mama's going to buy you a billy goat.

If that billy goat won't pull, Mama's going to you a cart and bull.

If that cart and bull turns over, Mama's going to buy a dog named Rover.

If that dog named Rover won't bark, Mama's going to buy you a horse and cart

If that horse and cart falls down, You'll still be the sweetest one in town.
