What is all the points for when you ask a question do we win something i think i am totally out of touch on yahoo now.

Its only for fun at the same time you might be able to get a good reliable answer to your question. In fact several answers which will give you a positive picture to yr question. Besides you might be of help to someone with your answers. Its all for FUN FUN FUN...

to go to different levels

The points are for going up the levels.  You don't  win anything.  You get to pat yourself on the back each time you reach another level.

The points system is:

Lose 5 points when you ask a question

Receive 3 points when you choose a best answer to you question.

Receive 2 points when you answer a question.

Receive 1 point when voting.

Receive 10 points when your answer is chosen as a best answer.

Thumbs up with best answer is 1 point per thumb up with a maximum of 50 points.

You can ask 5 questions a day, answer 20 a day and vote on 20 unresolved questions .
