  1. You can find prices cheaper than what Sandra G. says.  I had a one bedroom apt. last year for about U$D 500.  Prices may have gone up with the influx of so many tourists but I'm sure deals still exist.  If your Spanish is any good, I would suggest going down there and staying in a hostel for a short time while you're looking for something more long term.  If you're a foreigner trying to negotiate from hundreds of miles away, they're more likely to try to rip you off.  If you're looking for less expensive apts., I would suggest looking in San Telmo or one of the lesser known barrios like Once instead of living in Recoleta, Palermo, or Barrio Norte.  Then again if you're looking for a condo, you might be willing to spend more and live in a more upscale neighborhood.

  2. Hi. You can find a lot of different solutions. Most of them are condo. Try Giorgio's House Buenos Aires. I know the manager. It's a very good place (not because i know her ) If you wat a villa you should go outside the city. You can also find the PH.  they are apartments inide a building but totally indipendent.  Have a fun in Buenos Aires

  3. I agree with Sandra G on prices. Check out the website of the Buenos Aires Herald, look under classifieds (the column on the left, down) they always have appts listed, both for temporary rentals, and for longer leases. Good luck!

  4. Depending on location and size, apartments in Buenos Aires can range between us$ 300 to us$ 700 per week. Per month, they can range from us$ 900 to $ 1400 (in average of course).

It is always advisable to rent from a renowned rental agency, since there are hundreds of unlicensed new companies in the city.
